Abstract

This dissertation has 3 objectives as follows. (1) to study the concept of general counseling psychology (2) to study the methods of Buddhist counseling psychology that appeared in Buddhism and (3) to study the use of Buddhist psychology, integrated counseling. This study is a qualitative research.

The result of research is found as following; Counseling Psychology is to provide assistance between counselors and consultants, in order to help the consultants to make decisions and solve problems by themselves in a comprehensive and appropriate manner, to make the effective consultation

Buddhist counseling is a consultation process with the aim to help consultants to make decisions, understanding and accepting themselves in various areas, as well as heavy on their own needs to make changes in mental health, emotional, social and intellectual aspects etc.

The use of Buddhist psychology, integrated counseling is the integration between counseling psychology and Dharma teachings in Buddhism, with an integrated approach. The knowledge gained from research found that, there are 7 steps as follows 1) The process of creating relationships with relatives 2) The step of creating a conversation with compassion step to know problems. 3) The process of conversation in a friendly manner. 4) The step to know problems. 5) The step to give advice. 6) The step to relieve suffering happiness both inside and outside. 7) The step forecasting and termination of counseling.
